The City of Cumberland is pleased to announce the current Façade Grant Program has been opened up to an expanded area of the City of Cumberland. The grant is for capital improvements for commercial properties that are located within specific boundaries, which can be confirmed by the contact above.

Program funding can be used for signage, exterior painting, storefront revitalization, siding, exterior lighting, window and door upgrades, murals, roofs and more. Applications are required to be submitted by the property owner and are subject to local permit review, as well as review by the State Historic Preservation office.

Total available funds are $175,000. The maximum award will not exceed $10,000. Applicants are required to provide a 20% cash match of their total grant request. Funds are available on a first come, first served basis. The grant will be available until all funds are exhausted.
