Cumberland Historic Ghost Tour

Cumberland Historic Ghost Tours will present a one-hour walking tour of Washington Street on Saturday, July 4th. The tour will begin in front of the Washington Street Library at 7 PM where tickets will be available immediately before the tour from guides in historic costumes. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students. The tour will include architectural features of the buildings as well as historic information as they pertain to the specters. Ghosts have been part of Cumberland’s history from the 1700’s through modern days. According to guide Anne Potts, “Sometimes our team of researchers have been able to identify the apparition, but others remain a mystery for now. Clues to the specific identity usually involve a tragedy or unresolved acts of injustice.” All proceeds from the tour are donated to local charities. For more information, call 301-777-9140.
